Tommy and Vonna work in the organ donation/transplant world and have for several years. They have two adult children-- a daughter,
Andrea, who is a senior at VCU and a son, Tom, who lives in Raleigh, North Carolina.
After sensing a call into ministry, Tommy
went back to school and received an MDiv in the early 1990's. His family then served a church in the small community of Smyrna, North
Carolina for over 7 years. He then did a Clinical Pastoral Education residency at UNC hospital in Chapel Hill. They then moved
to Virginia where Tommy took a job as a hospital chaplain at VCU Hospital where he worked in the ICU's and the Emergency Department. Tommy
now works for LifeNet Health, helping the families of potential organ donors during sudden/traumatic death situations and providing
aftercare to the families of donors.
Rev. Tommy Willcockson began his ministry at Zion as our interim before being called as pastor on November 10, 2013. Tommy and his
wife, Vonna, live in Beaverdam.
